CITIZENSHIP BY REGISTRATION OF A MINOR   CITIZENSHIP MADE BY A FORMER CITIZEN
     CERTIFICATE OF IMMIGRATION STATUS
   
An application may be made by the responsible parent or guardian to the Minister of National Security for the minor child of a citizen of Trinidad and Tobago, to be registered as a citizen of Trinidad and Tobago.
  On approval a Certificate of Citizenship of Trinidad and Tobago Form (4) is issued to the child and such child is deemed a citizen of Trinidad and Tobago by descent.
  A Certificate of Immigration Status is issued to a Citizen or Resident of Trinidad and Tobago as documentary proof of a person’s status as a Citizen or a Resident of Trinidad and Tobago.
   
APPLICATION FOR RESTORATION OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO CITIZENSHIP
Application for Restoration of Citizenship
 
A person who was a citizen of Trinidad and Tobago by birth or by descent and who lost Trinidad and Tobago citizenship prior to 29th July 1988 by: -
 
  Voluntarily acquiring the citizenship of another country or
  Renunciation of Trinidad and Tobago citizenship in order to acquire citizenship of another country
may make an application on the prescribed Form 15 to the Minister of National Security for restoration of Trinidad and Tobago Citizenship
- Section 11 (2A) of Citizenship Act Chapter 1: 50
An application form is obtained from the Ministry of National Security, no fee attached.

An application is submitted to the Ministry of National Security on the prescribed form 15, three (3) Original forms, and is subject to the approval of the Minister (MNS website)
On approval,  three (3) Certificate of Restoration of Trinidad and Tobago Citizenship Form 16 is issued 
- Section 11 (2B) of Citizenship Act Chapter 1:50

Proof of Trinidad and Tobago Citizenship by Birth or Descent
Proof of other Citizenship

Police Certificate of Character from country of residence and /or home country

Medical Forms 40 and 40A

Four (4) Identical Photos

  Non Refundable Application fee: $50.00 TT
  Certificate Fee:  $540.00 TT

  The declaration on the application must be sworn before and be certified by a Commissioner of Affidavits or a Notary Public.
